  2. Why isn't my building listed?

  3. Why is(n't) my building "verified"?

A building is "verified" if its location has been confirmed against a city dataset. If your building isn't verified, it may be due to discrepancies in the address or location data. Please email us.

  4. What is the "Elevator ID"?

When reporting an outage, you need to identify which elevator is affected. You can use either:

    • Car Number - A building-assigned letter or number (e.g., "2", or "S1") usually noted on the door jamb. This distinguishes elevators within the same building. Not to be confused with floor number!
    • Capacity Plate - A plate indicating the elevator's weight capacity (e.g., "2500 lbs") which may also includes a unique identifier.
    • Gov't of BC ID - A province-assigned registration number (e.g., "2364") typically found on the control panel near the alarm/help buttons.
